Celebrating our Members After Lockdown

During the pandemic, all of our arts classes went online and we had to think differently about how we could still provide support in this new way of working. We began sending out packs of art materials through the post from clay and pottery tools to sewing materials and writing materials. Our tutors created briefs for members to follow and gave weekly sessions on zoom or via phone calls to check in on how people were getting on. The tutors focused on the theme of 'Walls and Windows' which encouraged members to make things to decorate and hang in their spaces to lift spirits and bring joy.

As we begin to open up the Skylight a bit more, members have been bringing in all their wonderful work which was made over the lockdown and to celebrate that, we have began to decorate the Skylight building to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy.
