There’s been progress in recent years to improve the law in Wales, but at the moment some people are still turned away from housing support.
It’s only right that people who are homeless get the help they need.
In the run up to the Senedd elections this year, we've been calling for political parties in Wales to commit to changing the law and putting in place the local policies and approaches needed to end homelessness. Crisis supporters sent an incredible 18,740 emails to Senedd candidates in every constituency and region in Wales as part of our #NoOneLeftOut campaign, calling on the next Welsh Government to make sure no one is left out of homelessness support.
The campaign doesn’t end here. Make sure you’re signed up as an e-campaigner to stay updated on how you can join the call for a change to the law so that no one facing homelessness in Wales is left out of support.
Imagine you’re facing homelessness in Wales. Will you be left out of support, or can you get help from your council to find a stable home?
You decide
"I felt sad. I felt like was there any point in me coming here? To give a booklet out and tell us that, and say that you’re not priority because you haven’t had experience with violence?"
“It seems from my point of view that they’re trying to discourage you to go on the housing list. They will just give you reasons not go on the list.”
"My mental health was so bad, I wasn’t able to speak. I was crying all the time, I was so depressed."
“...mentally it just ruins you. It’s horrible. I won’t want to wish it up on anyone."
